ICC - Pit of Saron

The Forge of Souls must be completed before a player can access the Pit of Saron...I must be crazy enough first try for both instance I tried in heroic mode...

Since I have done so many times The Forge of Souls...I made it a point to practice on Pit of Saron...

So first thing I do today....using the very well loved looking for group system that Blizzard has done for us...I managed to go for a run for Pit of Saron...There is one more boss as compared to The Forge of Souls...

Forgemaster Garfrost

Garfrost looks like a giant piece of patch work...ugly to the core...has only a few abilities you need to look out for:

Forgemaster Garfrost throws a massive saronite boulder at ranged...so you gotta run when he emote...its really cute to see him throwing a big piece of ice at you...I tried to run but was still hit by it and got knocked back...sigh...I did run out of the shadow IRONY!!! LOL...This thrown stupid ice will deal lots of dmg to anyone stupid enough ehhhhhmmmmph...or slow enough to stand in its shadow..... =(

Other then running away from "flying ice" or what they call it saronite rocks fight is easy to heal. He has a party-wide aura that cause Frost dmg and applies a debuff that increases Frost dmg taken....PITA...The debuff is applied every 3 seconds and stacks.

DPS/healers should hide behind the thrown saronite boulders if their permafrost stack gets too high....healers gotta be quick about healing this part...I still remeber I just monkey see and monkey do whatever the rest of the group is doing the first time I tried this boss...Not sure why everyone was hidding and thought that the boss is gonna do some massive AOE LOL....but none was due....

When Forgemaster Garfrost yells: "Axe too weak. Garfrost make better and CRUSH YOU!"

Garfrost jumps over to one of the two forges in his room and reforges his weapon to increase his frost damage dealt by 100% in Heroic mode...While Garfrost runs off to one of his corner (forges) to grab a weapon the tank should let the debuff wear off by using the boulders.

Once everyone's debuff has worn off and is healed up, we continued the fight by going to the boss. Garfrost does not lose aggro on the phase transitions.

When Garfrost yells: "Garfrost tired of puny mortals. Now your bones will freeze!" He will cast Deep Freeze which reduces the movement speed of a random target by 50%, and causes 6k Frost dmg after the spell expires...So I had to make sure the player (fact is I can't remember who) is at full health (and shielded just in case...a bit KS)...

In phase two Garfrost casts Chilling Waves in front of him. The tank (and only the tank) should be getting hit by the Chilling Waves....So you must be careful to avoid that....

Krick and Ick - Krick is a leper gnome that rides on the back of Ick, a large ghoul/abomination. Krick issues spoken commands to Ick. Ick will drop plagues areas and we are suppose to avoid those, he will also drop a series of bombs that looks like purple domes and we are suppose to avoid them too...else it will be hard on the healers.

After killing the first two bosses, Tyrannus, who has been flying around the Pit on his frostwyrm, summons a series of mob groups along the path, each of which include a caster and several melee mobs. As the group approaches the tunnel, Tyrannus commands his frostwyrm to collapse the tunnel, so the party must run through the tunnel, killing mobs and avoiding falling ice blocks, you gotta avoid the round circles on the ground, its something like what Hodir does, dropping icicle on to grounds that was marked with circles...

Scourgelord Tyrannus, the last boss of Pit of Saron is a human Death Knight mounted upon the mighty frost wyrm Rimefang...one thing to take note of while healing this boss is that I need to make sure that the tank gets lots of love after the boss jumps from his mount...cos he does hit hard...if you are not careful, the tank might just die seconds after the boss lands...

Abilities that you need to take note of for this boss:

Forceful Smash, which is heavy dmg and knocks the tank back, this the ability that might cause the tank to die very fast after he dismount.

Overlord's Brand, which marks a target and transfers all of the dmg done by that target to Tyrannus' main target, generally the tank. DPS that is being branded should stop attacking until the brand is removed.

Unholy Power, which increases Tyrannus' dmg, but greatly reduces his movement speed.
