Healing as a Discipline Priest

I just kind of changed my shadow spec to Discipline Priest again...when Irony told me I had to respec to discipline I am like OMG....sure or not???!!!???

Link to my new spec

This time round I went straight for POS, FoS and HoR...No pain no gain...No practise no gain right?

It has never been such easy tries on these instance! I comfortably shielded everyone in the group before the start of each pull...No problem with mana...

Healing was so easy...I just have to cast penance on the grp memeber that has really low health...I just keep shielding the tank (of cos PoM and casting a renew on the tank) and also all the grp memebers...no pain at all...

Before the respec I had a HoR and FoS run and sadly for the 2 instance I kinda had a very bad experience with a lousy mage that keeps complaining that we are all very well geared but we are still wiping...of cos we are wiping...he keeps pulling agro from our druid tank and everytime he ice block the next thing that happen is the mobs will be after me! OMG....so what if I have 5.9 GS? Does not mean you have gear means that you can play well!!!

Attempts on Lich King (Normal)

For the past few weeks we have been attempting on Lich King...I can say that I heal till my hands pain man!

One thing Dawyn keeps telling me is that I am really slower then I used to be (he wants me to do more 10 man to train up my reflex)...

Whatever I am writing below are things that I can roughly remember in the Lich King fight since I am healing my hands off most of the time....

Phase 1
Whenever somebody gets Necrotic Plague, they need to run close to the Shambling Horror, while trying to have the Horror closer to them than the OT. This way when the Necrotic Plague is removed, it will jump to a Horror or a ghoul, and bounce back and forth between the OT and the Horrors...(Note: Necrotic Plague should be removed within 5s of its application)

One impt ability to take note is Infest, it will do some minor Shadow dmg to everyone, when more dmg is taken the longer the debuff stays...the debuff is removed when the target's health reaches 90% and higher. Discipline priests and other classes with absorption shields are especially useful in handling those, as the shield's damage reduction may prevent Infest's damage from bringing the target below 90% health, negating the DoT-like effect.

Phase 2
When the outer layer of the platform collasp its when all of us have to run into center part of the circle...mao mao was asking everyone to stack on him...Then Val'kyr will target 3 random raider, lift them in the air, and carry them slowly off the platform...you can only stop the Val'kyr from "throwing" your team mate off the platform by killing them...Do whatever you can...to slow them...it will give the DPSers time to save our beloved team mates....LOL...Everytime I hear Oak says "CRUEL WORLDDDDddd!!!" I will be like omg there goes our super heals....ha ha...

Next thing the Lich King start casting "Defile" is when choas strike...real PITA...ahhhh!!! The Defile will do dmg every second, and every time it does damage, its size and damage will increase...sob sob...I can still hear mao mao saying "Christy why are you still standing there to heal???!!! GG lor!!"

Sigh...I need to practise more!!!! Move faster...

Mage got Booted

OMG it was so drama today...Have been in guild for some time and never seen such case before...

Frankly I was really surprise that baddie got booted from guild....one minute he was asked to sit out and then then next he was gone...I actually felt bad till the bombards on the WOW forums...something about "licking balls" etc...Not sure why our ex mage got upset...If you are DCing and when the leaders ask for you to leave...you should just leave...

Guess he was a bit upset and started saying that the officers "does not show respect", Drama Drama...the very bad thing about a guild is drama...First of all, he was disconnecting...2nd he was QQ(ing) abt the leaders asking him to leave and refuse to leave the instance...3rd of all he made a very bad comment about a player in the grp or rather a rude remark...so immediately he was booted...

I hated drama very much...

Conclusion that I made from the whole incident: "If you are not happy with the officer's decision then you should leave the guild...If you stay and make noise...it will cause a lot of problem for the guild..."

Sindragosa

Really CMI LOL...But we finally downed Sindragosa (my first time!!!!!)

Keep failing to the AOE of Sindragosa...the guild downed it last week but I missed it...according to mao mao, our legendary heals (my dear nanny) also like me....LOL....failed to every one of "blistering cold" which deals frost dmg to to all enemies within 25 yards. The 5-seconds cast starts immediately after an Icy Grip....so all of us have to run away from Sindragosa immediately after the grip...ha ha.... can't blame me...especially when I have direction problem...

I totally route idiot and then have no idea where to run to most of the time...First time I did it 10 man with team 2, Zellius our MT told me when I jokingly asked him not to laugh at me, he said "I was already laughing when I was tanking and see you running towards me" OMG...so embarassing...LOL...

For this fight, some of our dps/healers died to unchained Magic - since it causes every spell cast to backlash with Instability (debuff in phase 1 last like 21s), inflicting 2k arcane dmg and best part...if multiple spells has been casted while the debuff is up, it will cause multiple backlashes...which gives me a safe casting of 6-7 times...in which I calculated I can cast PoM every 7s and still can cast at least 2 times of PoH before I have to stop healing...MUST BE VERY CAREFUL that I dun kill myself LOL...

Anyway after some practice, I finally got used to running away from "blistering cold", the trick I learned is that I have to stand nearer to Sindragosa and face the stairs while healing every body. The moment she cast Icy Grip, I wil have to start running and cast GS on myself...while running, I will try and heal myself using CoH or even PoM myself...This way I must make sure that I dun miss 2 Blistering Cold in a row...

The raid had to soul stone me and also brez me when such cases do occur...so embarassing...anyway these precaution or whatever done to keep our problematic priest (myself) from dying ha ha ha...

So happy that I finally can handle this boss...but was very sad that Nanny told me he not playing more...say he gonna move on...sigh...I guess when people play too long they will tend to feel that they have to move on...so there goes my legendary heal...
