WOW - The New Patch & Counting down...

Was just talking to Sixx about mods and realised that I am only using the followung mods: bartender4, dbm, grid2, OmniCC, Pitbull4

He told me is good enough...I found that having too many mods will slow down my latency...

As I was trying to respec for raid...I found out something new on the spec for Holy priest...Revealation....OMG what the....LOL...I thought that was auto last time?

So I changed my holy spec removing stuff like Tome of Light and also ...

I realised that they removed the Chakra for renew...sigh...so sad...I guess its too over powered...

Was shocked that Sixx says he's not joining us for this weeks raid since they were locked with 10 man...sigh....which got me worried since I am kinda like aiming to get the last 2 Heroic bosses that I need to get the achievement: Glory of the Icecrown Raider (25 player)....I cannot imagine...it seems that most of the core raiders are locked...

Zero's being very gentle while raid leading...we were unable to do Heroic Sindragosa since we don't have enough healers...sigh....where are all the healers? OMG...we have like more then 50 on-line....sigh...

Anyway we downed Heroic LDW this week...which officially makes Heroic Sindrgosa my last boss in Heroic mod....can't wait to get the mount =)Wondering if I will be able to get it in fact...we will need like 8 healers tomorrow if I want to get the mount...Lets hope we can do it tomorrow cos next week is the last week of raid...

What is Chakra

Saw in this website a super detailed explanation of What is Chakra, I find it very easy to understand hence copied whole thing from it, please note it is not done by me....

What is Chakra?
  1. Chakra is a 20 point talent in the holy tree that allows a priest to enter a state where certain abilities are enhanced, depending on which Chakra state the priest chooses to enter.
  2. Chakra is put into effect by casting the spell and then one of four other spells immediately after it, putting you in that particular state.

    • Heal

    • Renew

    • Prayer of Healing

    • Smite

  3. Chakra can be extended by putting talent points into State of Mind and by casting spells unique to the state you’re in (i.e. casting Renew while in Chakra: Renew).
  4. Placing a talent point in Revelations will allow Chakra to change the effects of Holy Word: Chastise, to compliment whatever state you are in.

    • Chakra: Heal/ Holy Word: Serenity

    • Chakra: Renew/ Holy Word: Aspire

    • Chakra: Prayer of Healing/ Holy Word: Sanctuary

    • Chakra: Smite is the only state that does not improve Holy Word: Chastise.

  5. Chakra does not limit or restrict what spells you can cast while in a state. For example, you could still use Shadow Word: Death if you were in Chakra: Prayer of Healing or Greater Heal if you were in Chakra: Renew. It only takes spells you already have and makes them more effective or slightly changes their effects.

  6. Chakra does have a 60 second cooldown – so if you go into the wrong state by mistake or you need to change into another one (due to the needs of your situation), you would need to wait for that cooldown to be up again before you could change your Chakra.

  7. Chakra has been shown to not use a global cooldown, so you can make a macro for each state you would want to enter and make it more efficient to use that way.

Chakra: Heal

  1. Increases your chance to crit with Heal by 10%

  2. Casting Heal will refresh a Renew already present on your target.

  3. Holy Word: Serenity

    • Instantly heals your target for 4654 to 5462 and increases the crit chance of your heals on them by 25% for 6 seconds. Has a 20 second cooldown.
    • The direct heal from Holy Word: Serenity is capable of a critical heal.

  4. Ideal for situations where you are tank healing or focused on a single target.

    • Deathbringer Saurfang

    • Valithria Dreamwalker

    • The Frostmourne room during the Lich King encounter

    Chakra: Renew

    1. Increases the healing done by your Renew by 10%

    2. Reduces the global cooldown of your Renew by .5 seconds

    3. Holy Word: Aspire

      • Instantly heals your target for 1991 and then another 3762 over 18 seconds. Has a 15 second cooldown.

      • The instant heal and HoT portion of Holy Word: Aspire are capable of critical heals.

    4. Ideal for trash pulls or situations with steady raid damage or harmful auras.

      • Blood Queen Lana’thel

      • Sindragosa

      • Sapphiron

    5. Helpful on high mobility fights or fights where your cast time could be delayed.

      • Thorim

      • Halion

      • Malygos

    Chakra: Prayer of Healing

    1. Increases the effect of your AOE healing spells by 10%

        Circle of Healing
        Divine Hymn
        Prayer of Healing
        Holy Nova
        Holy Word: Sanctuary

    2. Reduces the cooldown on Circle of Healing by 2 seconds.

    3. Holy Word: Sanctuary

      • Targets a zone to become a sanctuary and heals those standing inside of it for 267 to 317 every 2 seconds for 18 seconds.

      • You can only have one Sanctuary up at a time – they do not stack. If you cast a Sanctuary while one is already present, the healing properties of the first one will stop, despite the graphic still being there.

      • Despite not being a direct heal, the healing effects of this spell will proc your mastery, Echo of Light.

      • Allies must remain in the zone to receive the full effect of the healing. If they step out of it, for any reason, the healing immediately stops.

      • The effects from Holy Word: Sanctuary are capable of critical heals.

    4. Best suited for healing through burst AOE damage, preferably with people grouped up.

      • Blood Queen Lana’thel

      • Twin Valkyr

      • Freya

    Chakra: Smite

    1. Increases all damage done by your Shadow & Holy spells by 15%.

    2. Holy Word: Chastise - Remains unchanged by this Chakra.

    3. Works best for leveling or during a lull in incoming damage, where healing is light and you can find time to do some DPS.

Holy Priest - Holy Word: Chastise and Chakra

Just the word Chastise and Chakra makes me feels like a divine being...its like chanting! OMG....when I first saw them I am like WTF?!!??!! What did blizzard do to my holy priest spells?!?!?!?!?

    LOL....

Not to worry...Just relax...once you get used to it, you should find the Holy Word: Chastise and selection of Chakra a very fun thingy....

Its very simple, you just have to remember the following:

While in a Chakra state, your Holy Word: Chastise ability will transform into a different ability depending on which state you are in.

Holy Word: Sanctuary (Prayer of Healing) - Blesses the ground with Divine light, healing all within it for 299 to 355 every 2 for 15 sec. Only one Sanctuary can be active at any one time.

It simply means that after you click on Chakra, then you cast a PoM, and your Holy Word: Chastise button will become a Holy Word: Sanctuary. Click on Holy Word: Sanctuary and click on the area that you want to heal, 475 sec for every 18 sec. Only one Santuary can be active at one time.

Holy Word: Serenity (Heal) - Instantly heals the target for 3162 to 3730, and increases the critical effect chance of your healing spells on the target by 25% for until cancelled. 45 sec cooldown.

ATM I still can not deal with the Chakra state of Holy Word: Serenity well, it means that I have to concentrate on healing one person constantly...I guess it is best used for Deathbringer Saurfang, I guess I will find time to blog about this later after making some research on which boss to cast what...

Holy Word: Aspire (Renew) - Instantly heals the target for 2363 and another 4470 over until cancelled. 15 sec cooldown.

The simplest to use, all you need to do is to spam your renew through out the raid and ta da! Heals are good....problem is you have to be careful of mana later in cata since mana is a very essential thing after the new expansion...ATM mana should not be a very big issue.

Anyway it was after I fix my holy spec that I started understanding the chakra thingy...so back track to my holy spec:

The most popluar build in wowpopular

But I prefer mine, will try it out before changing later I guess...

Disc Priest - Evangelism and Archangel

Just respec recently for my disc priest...had so much I did not understand and still trying to figure out...

I talked to Zell about it and he says that it does not matter much whether I use smite or not and there is no standard best spec...anyway my disc spec is a bit weird but I prefer it:

Was wondering what exactly is Evangelism when I tried and click on the instant cast Archangel....OMG....

Took me a while to find out from wowhead:

At level 80, your base mana is 3863 according to http://www.wowwiki.com/Base_mana. To get 5 stacks of Evangelism we would need to cast 5 smites. Smite is 15% of base mana or 579 mana for the first smite. With Evangelism, each smite cast afterwards costs 3% less mana so 561, 544, 526, and 509. In total to get 5 stacks it would cost 2719 mana. So if it costs us 2719 mana, and Archangel returns 15% of our total mana, the only way we would lose mana using these abilities correctly is if we had less than 18,126 mana. Currently, I am sitting above 40K so I am gaining 6k minus 2719 or roughly 8.2% of my total mana.

So yes, this will be beneficial to regen mana when you have down time. Also, the bigger your total mana pool is the better your regen will be. As you upgrade gear and get a larger mana pool, your base mana pool stays the same, (except when you level). So while the cost of the spells will remain the same (when you hit 85) the regen will only get better as you gear up.

sigh...I ran through a few heroic instance to find out how it works....casting smite 5 times and then archangel is really fun...since I never have mana problem I am not sure how well it works getting mana etc back since I am not lack of it...also I am not in raid to test it out LOL...of cos it will also depend on whether the raid can allow for me to do tat OMG...currently I just see a very cool animation on my character...I am with wings!!! LOL...

After going for a few instance, I found out that I did not glyph my disc spec OMG...what a blunder....CMI man!!

Glyphs as advised by wowpopluar (please note I kinda crop the image a bit):

I am not too sure what to use at the moment, hence I only added the following for my glyph:
Prime Glyph:Penance, Power Word: Barrier, Power Word: Shield
    Major Glyph:Pain Suppression, Inner Fire
Minor Glyph: Shadowfiend, leviate and Fortitude

Fixing up my disc priest has been fun but I still prefers holy priest hee...
hmmm...I just realised that I have not blog about what I have done for my holy priest...I guess I just have to do it later...
