Professor Putricide

We finally downed Professor Putricide 25 man!!!

Never doubt that we can not do it...just wondering how long it will be actually...the day before we had the Professor down to like 5% before....so downing him is not a surprising thing....we actually did it like 1st try today...

I really healed like mad...doing POM, CoH and constantly casting a "renew" on people who're having constant dmg so that I can concentrate on the group...especially PoH after the melees stacked on the slime...I am in the healer group so naturally PoH on our group is important...mana is not an issue here...keeping people alive is crucial...we need everyone for this fight...

Our mao mao's constant "switch range"...."switch melee" on the slime (and cloud) were very effective when everyone just take instructions so well...timing was perfect...once slime spawn, the range will just dmg it first...after target is being locked...the melee will rush in to finish it off...(of cos same goes for cloud)

Amazingly...no melee run after the cloud before anyone's being targetted...I can hear Oak calling on vent..."remember do not run into cloud before it has any 1 target"...hee...Kiting of cloud was perfect too...I tried to shield the kiter whenever possible...anyway the cloud disappeared really fast too...

What I am most afraid of is the Choking Gas Bomb that Professor Putricide throws around him, the Gas Bomb deals lots of dmg every sec and explodes for around 16k dmg after 20 sec. Isn't that a PITA?? Stay away from these orange chemical bottles on the ground...they are real painful...

One of the things that people gets lots of dmg to is Malleable Goo...Professor Putricide will throw a few "balls of slime" at you and you will have to avoid it...a few tricks to avoid these...cos they are thrown at you or any targetted person in a straight line...what you have to do to avoid it is just to move away from the straight line "drawn"/"thrown" another trick is to stick to Professor Putricide (or rather following him like a dog heee....)...which is easy for me since I am a healer...

Professor Putricide - 10 tries

I was being advised to update my GridStatusRaidDebuff for Grid so that I can see the debuffs @ Blood-Queen Lana'thel...sadly I was late home and not able to join the guild with the 5 tries of Blood Queen tries...I wonder how everyone's gonna be assigned on the biting part...

While I was listening to the guild down Blood Prince Council, 3 boss again sounds familar....remember The Illidari Council in Black Temple? Not at all like it even though you have to fight 3 bosses too...Our guild down Blood Prince =) yeah...

After Blood Queen I was being sub in since one of the healers keeps getting disconnected....However, we could not get Professor Putricide down this week as different people made different mistakes in the raid, one of the melee (warrior) actually charged at the cloud when he was being targeted!! OMG and wrong macro button pressed...Da and strisen was saying that if we are not being limited with our tries...they would find this funny...I was screaming at the top of my voice!

Can't people understand stay away from CLOUD??!!

Everyone in the raid is getting better and better with each try on Professor Putricide...mao mao is calling our for the range to switch on DPS then the melees to switch for each CLOUD and slime...this way it is safer....however because of this, each try we did, he had to be brez...when he stops "spoon feeding" the raid, our melees were not able to switch DPS fast enough...

On our last try....When the raid leader called out to stop DPSing the boss so as to wait for a cloud spawn get it down and then we will be able to concentrate on the boss for the start of P3...however everyone was like stepping on the accelerator on DPS...sigh...best part...one of our rogue actually took the instruction from raid leader literally and when hero is being called, "DPS the cloud down" and he ran after the cloud before anyone was being targetted and he was actually the targetted person...so its a wipe on that last try...

Talked to Mao Mao after the raid and found out that if I ever gets targetted by CLOUD I should actually shield myself and run since I have the "a little faster" buff when I shield myself...must bear that in mind...if ever required...cos you can never out run a CLOUD on P3 for sure...

Professor Putricide

Last week, my guild hit the new Icecrown Citadel bosses in the Plagueworks wing - Festergut, Rotface, and Professor Putricide...We did well for the first 2 bosses...however Professor Putricide is a real PITA...

Abilities of Professor Putricide:

  1. Puddle of Slime - The Mutated Slime grows continuously, inflicting 4388 to 4612 damage every 1 sec until it is consumed by another Mutated creature!
  2. Mutated Transformation - You have been mutated! Inflicts 1950 to 2050 damage to nearby players every 1 sec. Curing the disease will revert the player to their form. This spell turns you into a Mutated Abomination.
  3. Choking Gas Bomb - Professor Putricide throws Gas Bombs around him, the Gas Bomb deals 5653 damage every 1 sec and explodes for 15600 to 16400 damage after 20 sec.
  4. Choking Gas - The Choking Gas inflicts 4388 to 4612 damage and causes you to choke, reducing your chance to hit by 75% for 10 sec.
  5. Choking Gas Explosion - The explosion inflicts 10725 to 11275 damage to enemies within 10 yards, knocking them back and reducing their chance to hit by 75% for 10 sec.
  6. Malleable Goo - Professor Putricide bounces a Malleable ball of Green Goo at the target, inflicting 9750 to 10250 damage and slowing attack and cast speed by 1% for 20 sec.
  7. Mutated Plague - The Mutated Plague spreads to Professor Putricide, healing him for 300000 for each stack of Mutated Plague that was on the target.

Saw the execution of the world first kill on Professor Putricide on Youtube.com have a look below:

ICC - The Plagueworks (First try)

I keep standing at the wrong position for the first boss, Lord Marrowgar...I should be stacking with the raid...sigh...when I get spike while standing away from the raid..."YOU should be sticking with the whole raid for easy access to the SPIKE!" Dawyn said...

For Gunship Battle, I did not know when to jump over to the other ship all the time till today...I just realized that when the cannons are not being "ice blocked" means we have to jump back and when it is being ice blocked it means we have to jump over and fight...LOL....

Anyway we quickly cleared the old wing no wipes at Deathbringer Saurfang (execution was perfect and healing was superb everyone's so pro!) and proceed to the new wing with new trash mobs...

OMG we wiped to Stinky....which is a trash on the way to the boss LOL...please do not under estimate these 2, Stinky and Precious, they can be healed through...wow he really down you to minimum and all healer have to AOE heal so that you can survive the fight...OMG really funny seeing pple die the first time we met stinky....wow

Stinky is to the left corner before Festergut's room and Precious to the right corner before Rotface's room...Tankspot.com is the best...they even have a video about it man!!

When we come back the second time....we down them without trouble...trick is to AOE heal....I mean really AOE heals from all healers in the raid!!! LOL...

First try on Festergut...the healers like died so fast to the Vile Gas LOL...Please!!! Everyone should not be standing together...you should be 8 yards apart, I made sure my "/distance": Distance check was up...that no one is 10 yard in range to me...For this fight I realized that DPSers should be more cautious that they should not be within range to the healers cos it is very crucial that the healers keeps the raid and the tank up...so it is best for the DPSers to move when they are in range to the healer instead of forcing the healers to move...standing together I repeat is a NO NO!!

Another thing to remember to do is to run to spores...very simple...when the spores are up...move to nearest spore, when the gas (Gaseous Blight) is up (meaning the ground turns yellowish) spread out and continue DPSing or healing...

We killed Rot face on the 2nd try...By reading the strategy to Festergut and Rotface, I had the impression that Rotface is harder...I realise that Rotface is so much tougher then Festergut...

At Rotface, the room itself does Ooze Flood, which floods basically an entire quadrant of the room with slime....All you need to do is to make sure you stack with the the tank tanking Rotface and then of cos the tank will have to be in the center of the room so that the whole raid can avoid the ooze flood safely...

The ooze flood floods the room at a random quarter, but as mentioned if you stick with the tank in the center, most likely you do not need to move away from your location much...

Mutated Infection is like a Grobbulus type debuff, do not cleanse it if you do not know what to do about it (exact words from mao mao our raid leader...LOL...) cos if cleansed or let it run its duration, it'll spawn a Small Ooze...I got it once and I was not able to run to our OT on time and DCed...OMG....wat a bad time to DC...So our OT just had to tank the small ooze and wait for the next ooze to be brought to him to form the Big Oozes...

OT had to kite the Big Ooze around. The Infected are to bring their Small Oozes to the kiter so they can merge them into the Big Ooze. When the Big Ooze gets to 5 stacks of Small Ooze, it will stop and cast Big Ooze Explosion. Just heal through...no problem with that...The only problem is with people kiting their small ooze to the OT, myself in particular...after the end of the fight, mao mao was telling me, "you have to heal better" again...I guess I was paying too much attention to running away from trouble...

Before we start Progessor Putricide, Dawyn asked for Fish, just right after he typed out the sentence, maldini, bunny, snowy and vuldin all prepared a fish feast, we really had a fish feast...LOL....

For Professor Putricide, OMG he is real PITA!! I have not studied about the fight...I guess I will blog about the strategy later...From what we did I can only summarize the following...

I got the yellow slime and couldn't see it at all....when mao mao call for me to kite I was already dead....can't see anything at all at first...For the 2nd try I start to realize that the so call "Gas cloud" looks like an orange slime...it will place 10 stacks of debuff on the person, every sec you will get dmg and then 1 stack of the debuff will drop off...but it will cause lots of dmg to the raid if it reaches the person that it has target depending on the stacks of debuff on the person...NEVER let these yellow/orange looking slime reach you if you are being targeted, they really hurts, it will wipe the raid...btw it changes target after 20 sec once all the debuff on the target drops off...

Volatile Ooze is another horrible one...it will target a player "sending" a line of green, it will root the person that is being targeted and moves toward the targeted player...OMG, have to kill the slime before it reaches the targeted person if not it will explode when it reach the person that is being targeted causing lots of dmg to the targeted player and also the people around them...

When he does the Tear Gas, whereby everyone is being "STOPPED" 2nd phase starts and thats where we screw up most of the time....mao mao realised that the hunters were standing too close to the center making it easy for the slimes to reach them whether its the green one or the orange one (gas cloud)...sadly it was the last try that we are going for in which we got the boss only to 65% this time round...

Most people had difficulty avoiding the "flying slimes", ie Malleable Goo shot at them...its kind of interesting cos it is shot straight at you (travel in a straight line)...so you gotta strive left or right to avoid it...the animation is really darn cute...

Our OT, Zell is asked to be the Abomination (he has to click on the table behind the boss), so cute, he runs around to eat Ooze - Reduces the size of a nearby Slime Puddle so that we can run around the place...

Gas Bombs...looks like brown flasks on the ground and feels like volcanno...make sure you stand away from them cos they will do like 5k dmg/second to everyone standing over them, will reduce their hit chance by 75%, and explode for over 15k damage after 20 seconds...

We only managed to get him down to phase 2 and since are given only 10 tries on this boss...we gotta try to down him next week...Not bad for a first try =)

ICC New Wing - I also need to know "Rotface"

OMG! I gotta know Rotface and Professor Putricide (in which you're given only 10 tires) not only Festergut...but but it took me around 3 days to understand what Festergut fight is about...Not sure if I can execute what that is to be done even! And OMG I have to know about Rotface and Professor Putricide does too =(

Ok last minute preparation, printed out what is posted on guild's forum so that I can read about it on my 1 hour trip home...couldn't have done that earlier since my mentor in RL was admitted to hospital and went to visit her...

ok not as complicated as Festergut even though they look alike...Rotface needs 2 tanks are needed for this fight...One for the boss, and one to kite the Big Ooze add...Totally love tankspot.com and www.stratfu.com

First off, tank him in the center. The raid should all stick close.

Slime Spray

Raining Green Ooze. Deals 6k Nature dmg to enemies in cone in front of the caster every second for 5 seconds. You just have to run under the boss to get away from the spray

Mutated Infection

The Mutated Infection inflicts 4k dmg every 1 sec and reduces healing received by 50% for 12 sec. After the Infection is removed a small ooze is created at the target's location.

Small Slime Abilities

Sticky Ooze
Sprays a puddle of green goo near a target, inflicting 4k Nature dmg every 1 second and decreasing movement speed by 50% for all targets within the 6 yards radius of the puddle.

Weak Radiating Ooze
The Weak Radiating Ooze inflicts 4.5k dmg to enemies within 10 yards, it will also cause the Little Ooze to merge with other nearby Ooze.

Large Slime Abilities

Sticky Ooze
Sprays a puddle of green goo near a target, inflicting 4k Nature dmg every 1 second and decreasing movement speed by 50% for all targets within the 6 yards radius of the puddle.

Radiating Ooze
The Radiating Ooze inflicts 5.5k dmg to enemies within 10 yards, it will also cause the Ooze to merge with other nearby Ooze.

Unstable Ooze
Increases all dmg done by 20% per application. Applied when a Big Ooze absorbs a small Ooze.

Unstable Ooze Explosion

Launches slime missiles at several random players, inflicting 12k Nature dmg to players within 6 yards of the targeted location. Cast when a Big Ooze reaches 5 stacks of Unstable Ooze.

OT should be standing outside of the safezone, preferably in a location that just finished Ooze Flood if it happened already....Once the Ooze has spawned the OT should grab aggro and begin to kite it around. The targeted player that dropped the Ooze should return to the safezone after the small ooze is spawn, of cos drop should be done near the OT...

When a 2nd player gets Mutating Infection they should run just behind the Offtank and in the path of the first Ooze and should be cleansed to drop their Ooze there. The 2 Small Oozes should merge to create a Big Ooze, which the Offtank should grab aggro on and continue to kite.

Small Oozes should be dropped in front of the Big Ooze. When the Big Ooze has absorbed 5 Small Oozes and its Unstable Ooze reaches 5 stacks it will cast Unstable Ooze Explosion.

This will target several random people and launch projectiles into the air targeted at where they were standing. Everyone should move out of the safe zone (since that is where everyone is standing, that is where all of the projectiles should be aimed.) Once the Big Ooze has exploded, you will have to merge 2 Small Oozes again and start the process over.

It seems easier then Festergut....

Looking For Many

Had a marathon instance run today...did more then 6 Heroics instance consecutively...Did ToC, Hall of Stone, Pit of Saron, The Forge of Souls, Utgarde Keep, Azjol Nerub and Violet Hold, the rest not listed...

Finally took a picture of the "butt cheek" Devourer of Souls

LoL I even earned the achievement [Looking For Many] whereby I have "Use the Dungeon tool to finish random heroic dungeons until you have grouped with 50 random players total." and I earned the title "Chrystie the Patient" hee....

What I am glad is for the first time I did not die at the first boss of H TOC ha ha....always get dismounted and die after trumple....now I smarter just keep shielding and run away if dun have shield RUN!

So tired after so doing them...Actually my aim was to complete all the instances just for the fun of it...but I gotta admit I don't have the stamina to do them all...

Usually the group that gets pulled together for Oculus will be say "OMG I hate this instance" the next thing you see, people will leave one by one...Blizzard sure is smart, they recently had a hotfixed deployed so that it will be more attractive for players...Recently the loot for Oculus has improved! Once Ley-Guardian Eregos is defeated, a loot bag will be provided to each player present. Each bag contains 2 additional Emblem of Triumph, a chance at rare gems and a chance at obtaining Reins of the Blue Drake. Best part?? This bag will only drop if you get The Oculus when you select random instance with the Dungeon Finder.

Why I did not get any random instance for Oculus today?? Ahhhhhh........

Addicted to WOW?

Addicted to WOW?? I guess most of us are...I even have a blog for it =)

Now trying to learn all I can about HOR, POS and FOS, the new instances in patch 3.3...

The interesting thing I read about WOW this week I thought I must share...

There is this guy who is the great fan of WOW got caught cos he was still playing WOW after he escaped from his country....

Posted on http://kotaku.com/

Blizzard Helps Cops Track Down WoW Fan, Suspected Drug Dealer

Wanted on drug dealing charges, Alfred Hightower skipped the country after a warrant was issued for his arrest. But he didn't stop playing World of Warcraft and that's how police caught him.

he Howard County Sheriff's Department in Indiana discovered that Hightower, was a big fan of some "warlock and witches game", eventually piecing together that it was World of Warcraft.

The investigating deputy contacted Blizzard to see if they would help track him down, the Kokomo Perspective reports.

"They don't have to respond to us, and I was under the assumption that they wouldn't," Roberson told the Perspective. "It had been three or four months since I had sent the subpoena. I just put it in the back of my mind and went on to do other things. Then I finally got a response from them. They sent me a package of information. They were very cooperative. It was nice that they were that willing to provide information."

Blizzard provided the sheriff the suspect's IP address, account information and history, his billing address, and his online screen name and preferred server. Deputies then used the information to pinpoint Hightower's location in Canada.

Hightower, who was wanted on charges of dealing in a schedule III controlled substance and dealing in a schedule IV controlled substance, and two charges of dealing in marijuana, was picked up by Canadian authorities and will be returned to Howard County on Jan. 5.

While it's good to see Blizzard helping out law enforcement, it is a touch Big Brothery to hear just how much information they track and keep and are so willing to give away... even when not legally required to do so.
Who say I am hard core player?? Even though I really find it hard to not play WOW or rather feels something missing if I don't play WOW...but this guy is really hard core....

Festergut

Guild message says to read up on the strategy for The Plagueworks...So I went and read up on the PTRs posted by different groups....what ever I gather here is not finalized...

I saw the fight in youtube.com quite cute boss...
(real darn ugly...I am not sure about the adorable part yet...But I am sure he is real fierce...)
Its always exciting to watch what is posted on tankspot.com...

Anyway I gathered the following information so far:

Only 2 tanks is required, 1 for the start then another one later in the fight, and positioning is not too important - you can take the default position in the middle of the room. Ranged DPS and Healers should be roughly 10-15 yards according to wowhead.com to avoid multiple people being hit by Vile Gas. (guess I will have to be very careful not to be too close to others, very scared just by watching the different fights)

Once the boss is pulled the room will be filled with Gaseous Blight which deals Shadow Damage every 2 seconds (For all the videos I watched I can see lots of graphic intensive bursting of different lights here and there, I wonder if my PC can take it or not).

Gaseous Blight

For every 2 seconds in each Gaseous Blight:
0 inhale -> Boss does normal dmg, Gaseous Blight does 4.5k shadow dmg
1 inhale -> Boss does +30% dmg, Gaseous Blight does 3k shadow dmg
2 inhale -> Boss does +60% dmg, Gaseous Blight does 2k shadow dmg
3 inhale -> Boss does +90% dmg, Gaseous Blight does 1k shadow dmg

*note: healing intensive for grp healer at start and at later stage tanks.

Inhaled Blight

Inhaling the Gaseous Blight increases damage dealt by 30% and attack speed by 30%.

Pungent Blight

Will happen 30sec after Inhale Blight. Dealing 50k shadow dmg to all players....Resets Inoculated and Inhaled Blight stacks.

Gas Spores

Boss will cast Gas Spore on random players. Everyone must get within 8 yards of a player with a Gas Spore. If no one in melee is targeted one of the ranged must run in to apply the stack to them. If 2 players in melee get a spore one needs to run out to cover some ranged players.

The Gas Spores explode after 12 seconds applying 1 stack of Inoculated and deal 2k Shadow dmg to affected players.

Blight Spores

Upon removal of Gas Spores from infected players, inflicts 1950 to 2050 Shadow dmg every 1 sec for 6 sec. (Can stack up to 5 times if you are in range of 5 Gas Spore infected players) So very impt thing is to SPREAD!

Inoculated

After you receive Blight Spores, you become "Inoclated", each time you get about 2k shadow dmg and 1 stack of Inoculated, shadow dmg done to you will reduce by 25% up to 75%. Before each Pungent Blight cast, all raid members MUST have a 3 stack including the tank, 2 stacks will not work...

After getting your stack, players must then be quick to spread back out to avoid multiple people getting hit by Vile Gas (which is already mentioned above MUST spread!). Everyone not infected must stand next to the closest infected player within 12sec.

Gastric Bloat

Throughout the encounter the tanks will be getting a stacking debuff called Gastric Bloat which increases their damage by 10%. However if the stack reaches 10, the tank will explode and deal 50k damage to the entire raid. Therefore tanks need to switch after 9 stacks. The debuff last for 100 seconds according to www.stratfu.com.

OMG so many things...I see until blur liao...

Random Instance - The Oculus

OMG I did a random instance today...and guess what I got The Oculus for the random instance....at first I thought I was gonna leave then I realized the grp's gonna stick together and get it done so WTF I just went ahead thinking its gonna be a long run sob sob...

The poor boomkin died at one of the pull cos he was too fast to land and got agro without the tank and the healer which is me sigh was like a distance away...OMG...he must be swearing my name all the way....

We were suppose to have 2 greens and 2 amber dragons so that there is a tank (red), 2 dps and 2 healers...So end up I was the healer for the dragon fight again...guess what it took me a wipe to realized the sequence of healing for "Ley-Guardian Eregos"...sigh...its not the same as malygos since there is no group healing....

So I am the Emerald Drake (Healer), I have 3 spells that I can do

Leeching Poison (number 1) - Poisons the enemy dragon, leeching 1300 to the caster every 2 sec. for 12 sec. Stacks up to 3 times.

Touch of Nightmare (number 2) - Consumes 30% of the caster's max health to inflict 25,000 nature damage to an enemy dragon and reduce the damage it deals by 25% for 30 sec.

Dream Funnel (number 3) - Transfers 5% of the caster's max health to a friendly drake every second for 10 seconds as long as the caster channels.

So all you have to do is to stake "Leeching Poison" on the boss, and then cast a "Touch of Nightmare" to make sure that the boss does less dmg...then cast "Dream Funnel" on the tank...i.e press 3,3,3 then 2 and then target your tank and press 3 to heal the tank...when you press 3,3,3 you'll leech health from the boss this way making you full most of the time and you will take that extra health to fill your tank's health...

The most important thing to do when the boss is transparent, you gotta move away from him and those "electric" balls flying towards you...I hope I dun make the same mistake the next time I try this instance....WOW we actually complete Oculus!

Random Instance - Drak'Tharon Keep

LOL I achieve "Consumption Junction" for my random instance...You can get this from Trollgore who is the first boss of Drak'Tharon Keep....simply "Defeat Trollgore in Drak'Tharon Keep on Heroic Difficulty before Consume reaches ten stacks"...easy with the gear that the group had...My first random instance done so fast that I had to queue for another one with Dawyn...his random instance's tank's gear CMI so I decided to join him for a 2nd one....

Sadly Dawyn got himself into "The Oculus"...sigh end up he was not able to get his dailies random done on time since the grp disbanded sigh...its so sicking that you will miss you random instance in this manner...some will say you should do it earlier, but if you are really like doing it half way already, why can't Blizzard just give you that "completion" and give you the 2 "Emblem of Frost"

Finally sold my Battered Hilt for 11k gold!!! LOL so happy...Sold to a pally...he says its a good upgrade for him...first time I ever sell anything for such a high price...I have always been doing trading on AH selling my enchant stuff to get enough for my repairs and such since I dun do much dailies...OMG!!! This is great!

Halls of Reflection - HOR 2nd try

After my random instance I did Halls of Reflection again, this time round, my HOR has no lag no death and no wipes....it was perfect!

Best of all the tank knows how to tank the abomanations and of cos I had more experience the second round...before the aboms come I already cast abolish disease on the melees and that way the spell will tick for 12 secs...

Our group did it the none normal way....hee....I mentioned it yesterday...but this time even better, we just stood at the door and waited...with the lich king "chasing" in front of us, the mobs just comes to us....

So I continued with a run on POS, Pit of Saron, a total disaster, LOL....I let tank die when I was reading what the guild was saying OMG...LOL....bad girl!!!

At the last boss, Scourgelord Tyrannus, I also let tank die cos the stupid DPS just happily DPS when the boss brands them...OMG and I had no choice to heal when the boss brand me cos the tank is like so low in health...I had to heal like mad...sigh...what a horrible experience....its like a dead lock...and best part the second try after we wipe, I still let the tank die when the boss was like at 2%....faint...

ICC - Halls of Reflection

First time doing Halls of Reflection and it happen to be my random instance for the day....yeah!! First time doing it....Only accessible to players after they have completed the Forge of Souls and the Pit of Saron (on normal or heroic difficulty), the Halls of Reflection are where Jaina Proudmoore and/or Lady Sylvanus hope to find and stop the Lich Kind once and for all.

Sadly its new to the few of us in the group and the tank (warrior) is not very familiar with the tanking...

So sigh we kinda wipe for a few times!!! A few times!! Partly my fault cos there is a sudden lag in my internet connection and heals is like 2 sec delayed...anyway first wipe was caused by lag....

There are 2 parts to the instance...

Waves of Enemies: The first encounter plays out much like the Violet Hold instance in Dalaran, in that it is composed of a series of "waves" of smaller enemies that must be killed before the bosses can be fought. There are 10 waves in total, with wave 5 and wave 10 being the boss fights.

Positioning is key in this first event. It takes place in a large circular room, and there are generally two places which can be used to fight the enemies. I call them the 2 small holes...You just have to turn left from the circular area and you will be able to find it....

On the 5th wave, you will face Falric, he will spawn on the left side of the room.

Quoted from World of Warcraft – Halls of Reflection Bosses written by Douglas Bonderud (a very good article)

Falric is a melee DPS boss with several fear-based abilities. The important ones to watch out for are "Defiling Horror", which causes a player to both flee and take shadow damage every second, and "Impending Despair", which will cause the target to cower in fear for 6 seconds if not dispelled in 6 seconds or less. As well, as the fight goes on, Falric will cast "Hopelessness", which will reduce all damage done by the party by 20/40/60 percent on normal or 25/50/75 percent on heroic as the fight goes on. This effect cannot be dispelled.

We died wiped like on the 9th wave before we come face to face with Marwyn on the 10th wave.hatuch like Falric.

Quoted from World of Warcraft – Halls of Reflection Bosses written by Douglas Bonderud (a very good article)

The abilities to watch out for here are "Obliterate", a melee strike which deals 30k damage on heroic, "Well of Corruption", which increases shadow damage taken if stood in – so, as with all things Lich King, don't stand in it – "Shared Suffering", which causes 16k shadow damage over 12 seconds and causes the entire party to be hurt if dispelled, and "Corrupted Flesh", which will reduce the maximum health of everyone in the party by 50 percent for 10 seconds in heroic.

Here, the key is to not stand in the Wells of Corruption, to heal the tank after Obliterate, and be careful about dispelling Shared Suffering – it is often easier to simply heal through it. This fight is actually easier then Falric as long as the abilities are handled well.

Frankly, I did not realize that much information from just one fight....All I know from healing is that I had to keep punching buttons cos of my lag and trying to use all my heals to keep the tank and the group alive while lagging....it feels more like a button punching game rather then like WOW LOL....

We proceed down a small hallway after the waves and fight a large Skeletal General, who will summon ghostly duplicates of our party memebers to fight us, very much like in the Old Kingdom of Ahn'Kahet instance. After defeating "us", we moved on into the Lich King's chambers....

After which Jaina is unable to bring Arthas to his senses, we had to 'escape' from him....so you see us following Jaina and mobs keeps pouring towards us and the Lich King swaggering towards us...

Our tank is not tanking the right way...he should be tanking the abominations away from the group so that I can heal him and get rid of the disease on him...but since it is my first time healing I am not sure what I can get out of it...before I realized, we were all dead from disease and the spraying from the abominations...so another wipe here....

We did the according to Matthew Rossi its the 'ledge' strategy

the 'ledge' strategy is very simple: let Arthas walk past you and lumber his slow way up the tunnel after Jaina or Sylvanas like he always does. Meanwhile, the hordes of undead he spawns? They come running back to you, even if you're still at the door to the ledge.

That's what we did, we head immediately to the left as the party exits the Lich King's chambers and hide against the wall. The Lich King passes us and the enemies spawns and keeps coming back towards us....easier for me to heal this way too...

Hmmm....hope I can heal better for the next time I try the instance again... =)
