Renew - Holy Priest Respec Act 2

OMG...after looking through the spec again I realised that I should not have place such an importance to Improved Healing...I actually seldom have mana problem..so I should actually worry about how fast my spells are being cast right?

So after another round of looking through the different levels...I decided that I will go for the below spec instead...



Guess I will have to wait till next week then I can make the changes again...I want to see if there is any great problem with healing using the 1st set of spec I came out with in the first place...

Renew - Holy Priest

After chatting with Sarrino and Strisen they have especially advised me to spec back my Improved Renew....Mao Mao asked if my SP is more then 3k if it is more then 3k then I should...since my SP is more then 3K now....after checking up on http://www.wowpopular.com/Holy/Priest on the popular priest spec...I decided to spec as below:



But I realized I made a mistake...I don't need to max out "Improved Healing"...I should have added to Holy Reach instead...sigh...Why didn't I think of that yesterday!!??

Anyway due to the change I had to make some changes to my mode to show me whom I have renewed...I remember talking to Elyss about coloring the borders of people we shield and making sure they have the shield on...I assume it will work for Renew as well....GRID addon...your best friend in healing LOL...

Next thing I did was to configure GRID to do exactly what I have mentioned....

Now when I renew somebody, I will be able to see a blue border around the person's name...Thanks to baddie for teaming out with me while I test out the changes...of cos thanks to my advisors Sarrino, Strisen and Elyss oh of cos Mao Mao as well...

Blood-Queen Lana'thel (Finally Down her!!)

We finally down the Queen!! First thing I woke up I told my hubby that...We finally down Blood-Queen Lana'thel the night before...

We were so close...LOL....So happy...I actually dot her before I died...

I have been using PoM, CoH and also PoH throughout the whole fight....I was constantly using Flash heals on the "very low healths"...basically its been a long time since I heal till I have no mana...

Of cos since I am in the healer group, I was using PoH to keep the healers up...

This week we have 2 priest...Elyss and myself, so we are able to each perform a divine hym everytime after the queen's air phase....

Pple who got the Swarming Shadows were good at "positioning" the line of "shadow fires" before the fear...most of them actually run around the edge of the room...this is a very smart move...once the queen fear minimal pple will get injured by the Swarming Shadows

Strisen kept telling me that I should respec and use my "empowered renew" hhmmm....will look into that later in the week and see how I can do that...

I get DCed at least once per try so I thought that my service provider should be the one giving the problem.....hence I had to do a traceroute to 12.129.225.8, our Aman'Thul server and sent a report out. Hopefully next time I will not have such problem...dawyn suspect that my graphic card will not able able to handle the details of the fight...testing now...not sure what is actually giving the problem yet...

Blood-Queen Lana'thel

We attempted on Blood-Queen Lana'thel again this week...We got her to 5% again...sigh...last week was 3%...

This is really a PITA...every attempt something wrong happened...some got disconnected...I only remember what's the most painful things she does...

The Queen will cast Pact of the Darkfallen on 3 people forming a triangle...causing them to inflict 3,500 Shadow damage every 1 second to the 3 and anyone within 10 yards to the triangle...This effect will only expires when all linked targets are within 5 yards of each other.

During Phase 2, the Queen will fly in the air and then fear everyone...after which she will cast Twilight Bloodbolt cause like 9k - 10k shadow dmg to a target and other players within 6 yards...best part is having 2 priest in the raid...where by we can divine hym after the fear...


One interesting thing that caused quite a few people to die to after fear is Swarming Shadows, affected player targeted will spawn a mass of shadows every 1s for 6s.....when the affected player run, they will draw a line of "swarming shadows" (which looks like "fire" in black on the ground) Each mass inflicts 2,313 to 2,687 shadow dmg every 1s to all standing in it....I wonder if it is better if the people dun run and healers heal through the 6s...which minimize the "line" drawn....hhhmmmm....dawyn told me dreyke got disconnected during one of it and he survived for quite a while before dying to standing in it and best part...no line drawn...affected area is only a dot he was standing on...but most important is that people have to stand away from affected player actually...imagine a whole bunch of people standing near??? OMG....

Mostly people fail on the biting:

When player get Vampiric Bite they will get about 12k - 13k physical dmg granting them Essence of the Blood Queen, this way player will increases dmg by 100% and also easier to heal by 15% on top of that have no threat....meaning you can blast the Queen as much as you like...however you will be Frenzied Bloodthirst after 75s. When you are Frenzied Bloodthirst, you will be mind controlled after 15s, unless you bite a friendly target....making them a vampire like yourself....Biting another player refreshes the duration of Essence of the Blood Queen to 60s, and also grants the debuff to the bitten player....so the one getting bitten gotta do it for at least 3 times before the Queen is down...tough...


Sigh...In which we lost our 2 best DPSers (Eury and Sarrino) during our last try...since Eury actually did not manage to bit on time and murdered Sarrino....according to Dawyn, they should be the last 5% before the Queen wipe us all...

Random Heroic Instance Run

Mao Mao was telling me that my standard of healing did not get back to standard...and I sat down and thought about it...

I have not been playing WOW as much as I used to and that I have not timed my heals as much as I used to before I went on a 2 weeks break to Australia to visit my Parent In Law...

Hence I went on a Heroic run spree...and played for like since 9pm till 1.30am (which is what I have been doing for the pass few days)...Gotta to join a group of people from the same guild and went to a few different heroic instance with them...during the run for Utgarde...I realise that the boss actually does a lot of dmg if I am not careful I might lose my team mate in an instance...which is what happened to my new found friends from a different server...not very sure how they died at the very last few sec of the boss fight...made a print screen so that I can check with dawyn later (recount's great mod to use to find out more about the dps and also heals or caused of death...however as blur as I am moving around the instance getting lost...I actually did not understand what is written in the recount this time round) and so as to improve on my reaction...knowing can help me know how to avoid such things from happening again...



I was testing my heals and checking what is actually wrong with my rotations...I realise that I did not cast POM as much as I used to...even my CoH was cast less...so I started counting in my mind 7s...7...6...5...4...3...2..1...cast...LOL...can be a bit unnerving if you are not used to it...can't imgaine I used to do that!! and I have started to be lazy about it and did not do it as much...no wonder mao mao is complaining about my heals!

Actually I dun have as much stamina as I used to have...I used to raid like 4 hours a day at least 5 days a week...now? only like 2 days a week...I could not even get back on time to raid for 10 man ICC...every week something happens...mostly due to RL issues...like this week I went out to celebrate my bday...Lets hope I can do it next week...hhhhmmmm....talking about bday...I asked dawyn for the panda pet...or rather the kung fu panda pet for my bday...I wonder if he will remember to get it for me....

*yawn* better go and sleep...tomorrow is raiding day...gotta save some energy...

LOVE is in the AIR (last part)

WOW the LOVE is in the AIR achievement's really a challenge when "Fistful of Love" is such a PITA!

It took me 2 days camping in Dalaran to find the Undead Warrior and then the Troll rogue is another best of the best! Where are they hidding? I am like 2 hours till the end of the world event...

Lucky for me I found Forlek...yes!! He's a Troll Rogue...I had to create a char at Horde side just to find him....OMG...

WOW World Event - LOVE is in the AIR

Its valentines day soon and Blizzard has join in the fun for the love chase...this year we have more quest to settle for and WOW really a lot more!!!

LOVE is in the AIR World event: Quest that you can start @ IF

You will have your Lovely Charm Collector's Kit (from picking up the first quest).

To get the Lovely Charms, you don't need to go to the NPCs in the area described in Crushing the Crown. Of course you can, if you want to.

Anyway NPCs have to be green or above to you. You can kill them anywhere, I heard that one of the most useful way to get the charms that you need is to run heroics. You don't even realise that you are collecting, because you are focussed on the run. At the end of the run, you should have (nearly) enough for at least one Lovely Charm Bracelet. You've also got yourself some emblems, gold and perhaps a bit of gear too.

Having the collector's kit on you gives you one charm for each NPC you kill (you don't have to loot them, as they auto-appear in your inventory). Damn I keep looking for the charm and dunno where to find it...
Then I realised that you have to be the one giving the "killing blow" to get the charm!!! WTF!!!!! To create a bracelet, you gotta collect 10 of these love charms....

So I went to SW to get the chain quest starting from SW from Inspector Snip Snagglebolt...

Uncommon Scents (of cos I got this from IF)
Just go to SW and find Inspector Snip Snagglebolt he is just standing next to the bank next to mail box

Something Stinks
I was totally confused as to what to do and I found out from Beq that I am suppose to click on the [Snagglebolt's Air Analyzer] when I see a guard with purple aura...easy...

Pilfering Perfume
You are changed to a goblin then you run like mad to retrieved a crate at the left side of SW gate. Damn cute!! Best that you find out where to get the crate cos your diguise only last for 2 mins enough for you to run to grab a crate and back to the quest giver...I had to do it twice...as everyone knows how big a "Route IDIOT" I am I ran the wrong way instead of going to the main gate of SW I went the opposite direction!!! Sigh....I drew out the route (not very nicely) below....LOL



Fireworks At The Gilded Rose
After that you are suppose to find Snivel's alleged girlfriend Marion Sutton at the Gilded Rose in Stormwind City's Trade District. Very easy...she is just at level 2 at The Guilded Rose...next to the fountain beside Inspector Snip Snagglebolt.


Hot On The Trail

I like what wowhead.com says "Well, turns out Snivel has flown the coop! The distraught (but mostly annoyed) ladies send you on a hunt for that lying goblin Snivel" So I had to go to the bank, auction house and barber shop of SW....where the hell is the barber shop????!!!! Its behind AH in SW....never been to it before....sigh...

Retrun the quest to Marion Sutton....

Just go to the Stormwind Harbor....talk to the goblin...and get a ledger from him...

Return the quest and you will get Man on the Inside (you need to turn this quest to shadowfang keep what leads you on to other quests) and Crushing the Crown (Kill 5 Crown Hoodlums and use Snagglebolt's Khorium Bomb to destroy one chemical wagon)


Random Daily Quests: Bonbon Blitz

Very simple...You just have to toss samples from the Crown Chocolate Sampler to 10 different people....actually love the sound that it makes when you toss the chocolate sample...
