I seldom see the guild do positioning...still remember first time i actually joined the guild I asked where should I stand and where I should stand...nanny will just tell me "aiya just find a comfortable position to stand and heal any body...There is bound to be people for you to heal..."
But this time for hard mode Assembly of Iron, positioning is very crucial....We had to position before we start...
A: Where our soaker is standing (nanny's position), poor thing he is constantly getting dmg after the medium guy (Runemaster Molgeim) die...punching bag ha ha...
B: Big guy (Steelbreaker) and all the range must be standing at melee range to him, best to be further away from C.
C: Small guy (Stormcaller Brundir)
Very importantly, we have to be in Melee range of the big guy (Steelbreaker)...if we are not in the melee range, Static Disruption after one dead - 7K Nature dmg to all raid members within 6 yards radius area (also +75% Nature dmg for 20s). Since this spell prefers range, Nanny had to stand away from raid and be the soaker to take the dmg, however if any one of the raid group stands like a little further from melee, they might get a chance to be targeted for the spell causing the raid group to get lots of dmg...which was why one of the hunter caused a wipe when he was not at his minimum dps range...anytime someone dies, our raid leader will call for wipe and try again, as we need all the dps we have in raid to be able to down the last guy...
Half way through the fight, mao mao mentioned that I have to PoM more...I did not realise that my PoM count is half of CoH...I try hard for CD on PoM and CoH...improved a lot after the 3rd wipe but it is still like 90:158 (or something like that), PoM:CoH ...both counts should be about the same since the CD is only 1 sec different...Cos the 3rd Phase is so healing intensive...First time I ever heard Oak say that he does not have time to do other heals...
After a few tries till after midnight or rather we were like still trying after 2am, our raid leader decided to try it next week...sigh...
