Heroic Putricide - Dealing with Plague?

I was late to raid cos I had dad aggro again...why choose of all days to talk to me when I only raid 2 days a week?? LOL...

Anyway I joined the raid after like they had a few tries on Heroic Putricide and raid leader decided to go for some other bosses before we go back to Putricide again...so there I was in raid cos I needed an off hand and trinklet...in which I finally got the off hand - Shadow Silk Spindle, the heroic version of it...I have waited for a long time....sadly I could not pass it to someone who needs it more then I do (cos I already had the lower version of it i.e the 264 level one) cos of DKP issues (understanding better after discussion with the leaders)...nevertheless I am happy that I finally got it...

My first try on Heroic Putricide of the day....sigh....Seems that the gas cloud like me so much....I was marked for it twice in row...lol...if you sitting next to me in RL...you can actually hear me going "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD....run faster run faster"...of cos I mean myself and not the gas cloud...was really comical actually....real sweat...

I talked to Elyss today and he told me that his guild had to learn how to deal with the plague before they can down heroic putricide....I kinda worried aboout the way our raid is handling it...It seems that everyone is afraid to get the plague...I thought it will be easy if you get it...just count 5s and then pass it to someone...I kinda scared to die so I just hold it for 5s...I wonder if there is any better ways to deal with then that...

Anyway hopefully we can down the boss the next next week =) posititve thinking is the key to sucess! Of cos we need skills as well hee...

Heroic Putricide - Another screwed up day?

How many days have I been screwing up? I not sure abt that...

Totally done all the wrong things for Rot Face and Festergut today...I keep getting pple in my way for Rot Face tat motivation had to show me where to stand...actually the position tat he so call assigned me is where i usually stand....I was just trying to move to the center part so I can reach everyone and at least shield them from the dmg...but no I got squeesed to the right hand side again and screwed up a few times...(we had to try rot face a few times before we can down him....omg...)

I was clearly frustrated when one of the new range dps and also melee keep standing too close to healers...i.e myself lol...and after talking on my mic for sometime I realisd that I forgot to on my mic...when I finally gotta say something on vent...lots of pple pst me and said that I was too loud LOL...

Anyway my ms was as bad as 800 plus during the fights...but I should not be dying to explosion for festergut...I must be dreaming to not see that coming....omg...so another failed boss for me...at least the raid was good enough to down him while I am dead lol....moral of the story? "A dead healer is a useless healer...but at least the raid is so good...they can down the boss without a useless healer" LOL...

Anyway we had an attempt on the Heroic Putricide...we did not manage to go into P3 today...I had a talk with MM and realise that I forgot to mending on the melee for P2 again...

Things I learned after speaking to him:

1.) Mending on melee or myself (If I am dying)
2.) Shield tank and let the pallys deal with the tank even for P3
3.) Must remember to Pain Supression the tank when they have 3 stacks
4.) DPS can die, but not the tank cos the tank will heal the boss if dead, but they are easier to heal when more stacks (this I must double check again).
5.) Raid will get more dmg with more stacks on tank.

I just hope tat for I will remember the tips tat MM has been sharing with me...and also I must go and print out the strategy and study it before I screw up more....

After raid today I have a very sad feeling....cos I realised that there is a long way for us since the group are still not understanding the importance of working hand in hand with one another...

After raiding for so many years, one thing I learnt is that if we want to do well and progress for bosses...we gotta start to treasure the importance of each player...especially healers themselves should know that...no matter how well you heal....you cannot keep the whole raid alive alone...if there are only 5 healers...or 6...we gotta make sure tat all 6 are alive in order to help the raid...whether you are a raid healer or a tank healer...you are very important to the healing committee...I guess if healers are only cares about meters then that will post a very big problem for raid progression...

Actually same goes for the DPS "team" if you can down the boss alone...its not call a raid group...its call "a levelling process"...you know when you level and needs to kill mob to gain experience? LOL...I wonder how long it will take for everyone to understand that...

Cool mount - X-53 Touring Rocket

Was talking to HaHa and suddenly realized that he's just next to me...lol...and was on a very cool mount...the X-53 Touring Rocket...using this mount you can actually carry a passenger behind....and the speed is 310%...OMG??!!!!!

Being curious I was quickly invited on board and he was trying to test whether he can dismount the passenger and true enough I was being forced off the mount...LOL...

When he tried to see if we will be forced off the mount at dalaran...I was being forced off and never gets the slow fall effect on me...OMG the passenger do not get slow fall!!!!

Hee....an evil plan was brewed...I told HaHa to shhhh about it....then he can try killing some lower level by flying above dalaran so that you can be "forced" off the mount...hee hee hee....

I hope HaHa will tell me how many he killed....at least he can rez pple so no problem making some kills....imagine killing your own pple LOL....EVIL....

HK trip

Sigh...was so worried that I will not be able to raid for the week when I went to China and then to HK on 12 Aug 2010...been bugging Zell for the pictures and finally got the time to convert them or rather make them smaller since Zell's cam's resolution was extremely scarily big...LOL

Beq said that we can go down to HK from China so I made plans to meet the guildies from HK...

hhmmmm....I guess I went in a rush...we couldn't form group to run an instance...only Zell was there to meet us...actually it was just nice a group...we have a tank (Zell), a healer (myself) and a dps (Beq)....I was even wearing my "Priest uniform" (got from www.jinx.com totally love it) when I went there...and I really appreciate him taking the effort to come and meet us given the hectic lifestyle in HK...everyone has no time...or rather busy...

He sounded exactly the same as he was in RL and in vent!! LOL...

Zell had to bring along all his installation disc for WOW since Beq had to reinstall his WOW since he corrupted it when he deleted the administrator account on it....he keeps getting an error message and his couldn't login at all...

Imagine while we were at HK, Beq had to leave his PC on and running the WoW installation while we were having lunch in the restaurant LOL...it was raining heavily outside and we made haste our choice to come to this Japanese restaurant...

Anyway thanks to Zell at least Beq can now play WoW while he's is away from SG... =)

After our lunch and of cos after installing WOW onto Beq's laptop...we went on to the streets to explore...its like 19 years since I step foot into HK...

Hope the next time we go HK we will be able to meet all the guildies there...I told Zell next time I go there I will make sure I organise a guild outing....hopefully by next year I can save enough money to do it =)

Kingslayer Finally!!

I have been AFK for at least 2 weeks...and after coming back from my trip, this is my first week back to raiding...I finally down Lich King in 25 man!! Or rather this is the first time I ever down LK!!! LOL..... I never know Lich King is so big! LOL...

OMG...it was really tiring fight for disc preist...imagine I had to shield the pple all the way...I had another disc priest helping me with the shielding...I kinda taking half of the raid only...but I try and cover everyone when I have the time....

I used everything I can to get back mana e.g Hymm of Hope, shadow fiend...etc during phase transitions and then I used Divine Hym after the 2nd phrase transition...

Sigh...I see a lot of Wicked Spirits, floating around and doing dmg...even tough they are very low health but does decent AoE dmg...lol...(I died to them the last time we attempted LK)

After the fight I still can see my body floating in the air...kinda interesting...but sadly I died during the fight again...This time..I did not fail myself...but other healers did not heal me since I was stunned by LK and could not heal myself...sob sob...no love from our super healer group... >.< I guess I will have to take some time to study the Lich King fight and also Heroic Professor Putricide, I even told zero that I can't find what is the ooze variable...dunno what it is...realised that I did not read the fights carefully...or rather dun understand it fully...Dawyn had to specifically explain this fight to me before I understand...omg...

Heroic: A few new things will trouble your raid in the Heroic version of this encounter. First, Putricide will no longer use Tear Gas during his phase transitions. Instead, he will summon both a Gas Cloud and a Volatile Ooze. In the 25-man version of the fight, he will also split your raid in half - approximately half of the players will receive Gas Variable debuff, and the other half - Ooze Variable. The people marked with Gas will only be able to interact with the Gas Cloud, and the people marked with Ooze - with the Volatile Ooze.

The other key change to the fight is the addition of Unbound Plague and Plague Sickness. Putricide will use Unbound Plague on a random raid member about 1-2 times each phase. The Plague will do increasingly more Shadow damage to that player and will jump to nearby raiders if there are within range. To deal with it, you need to have the infected person step away from the rest of the raid, take the Plague's damage for about 10-12 seconds, then move to another raider and pass it on. The old target will receive a Plague Sickness debuff, which increases the damage taken by Unbound Plague by 250%, so they should never get it again; the new target will receive the Plague with as many seconds as were left before the passing (50-48 ideally). The raid needs to continue passing it until the 60 seconds duration expire.

Its a fruitful day for me...even though my internet connection CMI, we finally downed Lich King!!! OMG!!! LOL...Yeah!! I am so happy... =D

Raiding with great improvements

We just down Heroic SF with just 23 men! OMG lol...Our 2nd team raid is getting better each week...of cos with the maximum buffs tat we have does helps a lot...

But nevertheless...Well done! I hate to say this...but the missing man does make me worried...I was trying to heal all the marked ones constantly renewing on each and then PoM on the 2 tanks (who ever had agro) I wondering Y they are not being shielded...

Feels good being able to do heroic mode with 1 less...I will be away next week afk...just hope tat it will not be a 22 men night next week...

I am kinda having fun switching from disc priest to holy and then back, and its without much pain! I do have to agree that holy priest does needs some skills in playing...strangely I prefer to play disc now...sometimes I forgot I am using disc when I go into instance...usually I will be playing holy in instance and the only time I go disc is when I play.

Anyway we kinda did so well today...we even did Blood Queen Heroic! But we 2 shot it...at least we downed her =D

Hope we can get King Slayer 25 men this week....Just hope tat tomorrow's attendance will be better...

Blood Queen (Heroic)

OMG I forgot to take a picture again!!!!

We downed Blood Queen in heroic the first time...I mean the 2nd team of the guild of cos. Yeah!!! Did it in 3nd try!!! 2rd try someone became mind controlled, the first guy...LOL hence we have no vampire at all LOL....

OMG the healing was real tough...I had difficulty finding the right spot to shield everyone...everywhere seems to be filled with pple....so in the end I decided to move to a better spot further away from the raid healers...

Priestly and I were the 2 healing priest..I am disc and she is using holy...I should have coordinate with her to use divine hymn during air phase at least cast one per air phase...but I forgot to do that...In the end both of us had it casted during the 2nd air phase and somehow it was just nice! Or rather perfect!

The macro I set for Divine Hymn is still winner:

Priestly and I both using it... =D I totally love the animation of the spell cast...Anyway I was careful for the last try first casting fear ward on myself so that I can make sure I heal the rest of the pple during the first air phase...actually P1 of air phase most of the raid was healed quickly to full health...then on the 2nd air phase, I use "Every Man for Himself" to get myself out of the fear running straight back to position and start to cast my Divine Hymn.

I was shielding pple like mad through out the fight...MM says that I should do mending 1st, shield and then binding heal the "vampire" person....I kinda din do that...as advised I did do mending whenever the 10s cool down is up and then I shielded everyone (like mad)...cast penance on the tank and then binding heal on the person who needs healing if I am also low (can you imagine I can forget to use that sometimes? Risk is that if the person u binding heal dies....the heal will not go through and then you will not be healed too) LOL...

I tried very hard to keep rabbit alive but to no avail...too bad...our dear rabbit healing as pally is very fragile today...nevertheless we downed the Queen with half the guild alive...not bad for a first try...hope we can do a cleaner one next week!!

Quoting Zell or was it Zero, the end was a little messy but its ok...LOL...we did it!!

I am not sure Y today's game feels a bit slower and I had to do direct connection to get my latency down to 300 plus...if not it will be like 500 plus if I am connected to the router...I guess its time to get a new router...WTB router!!!!
